I have been looking forward to blogging about this wedding all fall and I’m finally doing it! The White Pines Entertainment String Quartet got to venture to Sandusky, Ohio this past August for an incredibly beautiful wedding on the lake, and we totally look like rock stars! (Come on—you see it, don’t you?)
Brittany and Phill were married on August 25 at the Sandusky Yacht Club in Ohio. The day was windy, but the sun was shining and the gleam off the water behind us was just stunning! Outdoor weddings on the water are always just so beautiful! I can’t rave enough about how incredible the view was from the ceremony site.

When Brittany first contacted me, she wanted to make sure we could play Beatles tunes as a string quartet. The Beatles songs in our repertoire are some of our very favorite arrangements to play, so of course we were excited to play. But when I found out she wanted an all Beatles prelude as a tribute to her father? I was so honored that she chose us to help honor him during their celebration.
She put together a list of his favorite songs including:

Then she walked down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun! It was a huge privilege to be involved in such a beautiful prelude and ceremony and I so enjoyed watching the special moments during the service that were unique to the couple! (They actually tied a sailor’s knot together as part of the ceremony and it was so cool to watch!)
We continued playing after the ceremony for a full cocktail hour where we played popular and classical music from Vivaldi and Pachelbel to Elvis and Queen with the string quartet!

I’d be remiss if I didn’t make a few other mentions in this post! 1826 Photographic did all of the photography for Brittany and Phill’s wedding and they are just phenomenal! I definitely snuck a peek at their instagram to check out a few more photos from this wedding and it was so worth it! They got shots in the Sandusky library that are just stunning!
Secondly, Brittany and Phill’s officiant Atonn. Oh my gosh he was phenomenal! We’ve played hundreds, probably thousands of weddings, and we work with a lot of really fantastic folks. We have also heard some very interesting sermons that are not quite what the couple was anticipating. Atonn did an exceptional job of delivering a beautiful service and incorporating Brittany and Phill’s interests along the way! He was also friendly, funny, outgoing, and a great speaker. I don’t often wax poetic about officiants, but he really deserves it! If you are looking for an officiant, he is your man! Check him out here!
